Exploring the chakras workshop Sunday October 16th at Elysium

Exploring the chakras workshop - sunday 16th october

Exploring the chakras workshop

Sunday 16th October
2- 5pm
Elysium Wellness Studio, Bassingbourn, Royston

The chakras are essentially points of energy located throughout the subtle body (‘subtle’ refers to something we can’t see but can definitely feel energetically). There are seven main chakra points and the system for studying them is as old as yoga itself, and has been something yogis turned to for thousands of years before the formal invention of physical medicine.

The chakras are closely  linked with the endocrine and nervous systems, which points to an important relationship between them and sets the stage for a fascinating exploration.

In this workshop you will:

  • develop your knowledge and understanding of the seven main chakras
  • enjoy an extended yoga class focusing on the chakras
  • discover more ways to stay attuned to your body and the chakras, bringing more balance and harmony to the different aspects of yourself

We’ll flow through a yoga asanas (poses) sequence that will lead us in making the transition from thinking to feeling. As we journey from the root chakra all the way to the crown, we will access each energy centre by transitioning through various aspects of yoga, including pranayama (breath work), Dharana (concentration) and Dhyana (meditation).

Suitable for those with some experience of yoga – and to practitioners who wish to expand and explore the more subtle aspects of yoga.
