Sunday Stillness – Restore and Rebalance for spring equinox

sunday stillness - restore & rebalance/ sun 16th March/ 6- 8pm/ coombes community centre, royston

Join me for this seasonal workshop; two blissful hours of renewal and relaxation, as we embrace the arrival of Spring.

On the lead up to the Spring Equinox (20th March), we will pause and reflect on what seeds we are tending to, as we await the uprising energy of Spring.

Poised for the arrival of Spring, we will delve deeply within to prepare and purify for the new life and a new beginning ahead, with the combined practices of Yin Yoga, pranayama, meditation and Yoga Nidra.

As nature awakens, so we are called to begin to slowly blossom and emerge from Winter’s hibernation / darkness.

A Yin Yoga practice can be very helpful to recentre and embrace the changing seasons.

We will explore postures to stimulate the liver and gall bladder energy pathways (related to the Wood element). Honouring transitions helps bring us into alignment with nature. It can assist us in letting go of habitual, negative thought patterns and opens us to new potential.

The practise will end with a wonderful healing Yoga Nidra.

Yoga nidra, or yogic sleep as it is commonly known, is an immensely powerful meditation technique, and one of the easiest yoga practices to develop and maintain. Practised in savasana (corpse pose), this systematic meditation takes you through the Pancha Maya kosha (five layers of self), leaving you with a sense of wholeness.

You’ll leave feeling rejuvenated, more relaxed, clearer and ready for the week ahead!
